Impossible is nothing

I always feel really inspired when I hear a story of someone who has broken societal norms.
Just heard a lady say that she is an Investment Banker and that her varsity background was in Philosophy.
Hearing her story moved me.
It reminded me of the moment it clicked deep inside of me that nothing is actually impossible, except what I call impossible.
I still remember that day.
I walked into a lady's office and told her that I wanted to do something that I knew very well I was not in the least "qualified for".
I was so nervous that a few minutes before walking into that office, I sent my mother a text, telling her that I had changed my mind about the 'mission'.
Bear in mind that the evening before, I had approached my parents and told them about my crazy mission. The mission would require me to drive 500km's for something I had absolutely no guarantee was going to even work out.
And they said "yes".
What??? Why???
I had actually hoped that they would stop me from the crazy plan.
But I had a deep conviction about it all so I decided that I was going to do it.
Fast forward to my mother's response to my 'giving up message'. With not so many characters, she texted me telling me that that was not about to happen.
That text had that "you did not drive all the way there, only to give up tone to it!" So I proceeded with the mission.
I walked into the office, did what I needed to do, and got accepted.
Mission accomplished!

And you see, the thing is, I know it wasn't beginner's luck because I've seen this kind of thing play itself out so many times.
The problem is that you and I are way too quick to disqualify ourselves on some:
"People like me cannot do it."
"It's never been done before."
Who told you that!!!
It doesn't even matter.
What you need to do is to talk back to that voice of doubt in your head and answer "WATCH ME!" then go out and do what you know you've been instructed to do.
Choose courage.
Be willing to put yourself on the line for once.
