I was looking for my journal because I wanted to reflect on the awesome 3 months summer break I had - you might have seen some pictures on Facebook (I'll write about my experience soon, so keep an eye on that.) - but I couldn't find it anywhere. Side note: I had just moved so not all my things had been unpacked.
I searched in every corner of the room (yes, the room is not that big!), but the journal was absolutely no where. I found this quite confusing because I knew the journal was inside my bedroom.
I eventually decided to get up a chair and look at the room from above - cause I have some cupboards that are slightly higher than others, though you can see what's in them from the ground.
It wasn't till I was on that chair that I realised that my book was in one of the areas I had already searched in, but because I was on the ground, I didn't a full view of the area/the cupboard.
This made me think of the times I had been "going through the most" - searching for a way to get out of a situation/ an answer a better way of life -
This made me realise just how often we find ourselves in that very situation. Where you're going through something - searching for an answer, looking for a better way of life, or looking for a way to get out of your situation - but you seem to be bumping against the same dead-ends; worst of all, you're starting to lose heart too.
